Grounding Issue at entrance of channel leading int...

I scrapped the E fuel and have been purchasing 94 Octane non-E.

I had the outboard in the shed over the winter and mice made a nest. I had to replace a fuel line. I also replaced the fuel filter. I don't think I had the fuel filter backwards, LOL. It's a 2006 outboard, but I do think it was the E10 last summer, though I didn't run the motor much from the dock in the West River. I was just a few hundred yards from the start/finish. It ran fine before winter.

Doug I have the same problem it is the. E-10 fuel I am using has a bad effect on fuel lines sets and tanks the alcohol is a severe corrosive
It also stores poorly 30 days or less forms a coating that plugs fuel systems

In years past, the channel developed an S and I have run aground in the same place. I draw only 5’, so it has been worse.  You night try the other side of the channel for deeper water.

Finishing at the back at A makes for a bit of trek back to Town Point Marina, and then add a 10 min drive around (not so bad). 1 crew is out for the summer, he picked up a gig as water taxi in NAP Town. Two other crew are hit or miss. So, not a lot of crew for the post race events.

A race ~1 hr is the key to getting to dock bar in a timely manner. Falling off winds makes the 1 hr tough when you are a 234 PHRF. Shortening the starting leg would help, especially if there is a delay in the start or light winds at the start.
