Governor's Cup - 12 HHSA boats registered
Author Last Post
Yes, we had already retired and were in the slot headed to HHN when we heard the call. We turned around and headed to Singularity's position but were still 25 minutes away when the Coast Guard arrived.

Glad everyone is ok.

Gongrats to all finishers. They endured some serious abuse.
Coyote never left the slip. It just didn’t look like fun. Watched the fleet sail by Herrington Harbor. Those boats that did come over to western shore appeared to bouncing around in the waves. Hope everyone is safe and no one broke anything major.

One of my son’s has a friend on a J105 that dropped out after finding 2 feet of water inside boat. As we understand, it have been keel to hull joint that failed and that Coast Guard pulled everyone off boat and was towing them to Herrington Harbor.

Rich
Palmetto Moon threw in the towel as well.

We were sailing OK in survival mode with double reefed main and heavily reefed jib, but the prospect of many, many more hours of having to think and strain just to sit still, convinced us to quit before we broke something or got someone hurt.
Race Update
We retired Cantata when we got to Herring Bay. Crew and boat safe. Conditions just more
 than we were ready for.

Acting Cantata
My crew and I have work issues to resolve but if we race down we plan to pull up anchor just before 6:00 AM Sunday.

Palmetto Moon crew intends to be on the first water taxi to run Sunday AM and underway shortly thereafter, so 7-ish as well.

Forecast is looking OK, although if it holds, shifts from south, to west, to north will come just in time to make it a beat the whole way for us slow boats.

Delivery home is looking fairly pleasant at the moment.
Same for Endless Journey

I ordered an HHSA burgee when I first joined this spring but never picked one up, could I get one from someone if I can make the next (our second one ever?) Wed night race on 2 Aug?

We should grab a big table to hang out for lunch/entertainment Saturday.

Who all is staying over Saturday and heading back Sunday?
Cantata is in.
Go to the "for Sailors" page and then go to "Yacht Scoring".  There is a scratch sheet on that page.

Keith,

Thanks. Hmm. I think when I registered I saw two measurements, LOA and LWL. Anyway, I went and updated.
Curious why you listed your waterline length and not length overall. ..
