Second Wind's Kudos and Apologies to Gaia
Author Last Post
Thanks Joe,

I had to read a couple of times; turning red but should admit about our stealth keel (that’s why it is kept under cover when hauled with security camera ; )

We will take the two beers and raise the group a RC duty when I can know I can escape work (I can be called back most any afternoon; was lucky the last two weeks)

Sounds like the gun’s were gladly received and our virtual (phantom) guns were enjoyed in the racing discussion discussions.

Of my 30 years + of racing; this is the best group I have ever been a part of. I learn every race; always post analyze with RaceQs and individual discussions when I believe I was pushing the protest envelope (Doug is having his red flag within reach) and learning non spin boats should be at least 4 rows back within their start warning (makes sense). Plus I learned a great deal from Kent/ Glissade crewing for him several seasons.

> Dear Gaia,
> You have missed getting the gun twice and I fess up that we (Second Wind) are the guilty party. We owe you guys two beers. Two weeks ago when we got the gun, I had a suspicion that a phantom cruiser was ahead of us, which was later confirmed by the race committee. This week was, well, I will not go into it, but we did in fact beat you across the line though it was our first time around A and your second. This leads me to alert you my protest, which will be filed shortly with the race authorities. I believe that Gaia is not a real cruiser but rather a fake one. If the inspectors look close enough, they will find that under your fake hull is really a Benneteau 36.7 or one of the newer J-Boats. What else could explain such terrific boat speed in light to moderate wind? In the meantime I will simply say congratulations, and if we ever get ourselves to Skippers when you guys are there, the beer will be on us.

Dear Gaia,
You have missed getting the gun twice and I fess up that we (Second Wind) are the guilty party.
