Second Wind accepts this much needed and much deserved apology from the Race Committee. It would be one thing if we got the gun on a routine basis, but, alas, this has not been the case over the 33 years and well over 500 races that I (first on Amazing Grace and then Carolina Blue and now Second Wind) and my worthy crew have been out there slogging away, trying to do our best. Such a sweet sound, the big bang of the cannon or in our case the rifle. In fact it was no coincidence that we almost crashed into the committee boat in order to be as close as we could so we could get the full benefit of hearing the Big Bang. But it was not to be. But that is ok. We will recover from this profound disappointment and slog on, hoping upon hope that someday, sometime we will get to hear that sweet sound and see the puff of smoke. Joe

HHSA Racers, Picture perfect conditions on the Bay last night. Blue sky, 8 kt breeze, first race of the season. Couldn't be better. Enclosed are the results. They differ from the preliminaries in that Adagio should have been scored in non-spin racing vice cruising. If you have any questions or changes, please let me know. Cheers,Hank

HHSA Racers,
Picture perfect conditions on the Bay last night. Blue sky, 8 kt breeze, first race of the season. Couldn't be better. Enclosed are the results. They differ from the preliminaries in that Adagio should have been scored in non-spin racing vice cruising. If you have any questions or changes, please let me know.
Cheers, Hank
