This race began with the restart of the race to Solomons and sponsored by "SHEARWATER SAILING CLUB". I just heard that from Tom O'Farrell that the sailing club is disbanding.
This race has not been very popular in the past couple years because Screw Pile jumped in after so many boats raced south. He wanted to let us know that if HHSA was interested in running it going forward, he could assist in transitioning the race to our club. If not, no worries.
