Sharp's Island Race this Weekend
Author Last Post

He John

The race takes 4-5 hours. Thats why it’s close to the Solstice. Bring dinner 😃

Mark

Greetings racers,

Carolina Blue will be race committee for the Sharp's Island race on Saturday. The forecast is for warm weather, in the low 80's and moderate winds at 8 mph. Please stay tuned, I'll update as we get closer to the weekend.

Gerry

Got it Mark, thanks.

I'm new to this so I want to make sure I'm understanding things. It looks like it's about 16 miles. So depending on the wind, the finish should be sometime between 9:00 and midnight. Is that about right?

Mark:

I can't seem to find any information on the race. Can you kindly point me in that direction?

Thanks.

Hi folks:

The Sharp's Island Race is this weekend! If you haven't sailed it before, its kind of unique in that it has a later afternoon start on one of the longest days of the year making for some colorful sailing and hopefully some great wind (at least in the early forecast).

As always, please register for the race so that the RC can be prepared. Sharp's Island Race

Cheers,

Mark
