Women Underway in HHSA

We talked about this at the May 2019 meeting and I wanted to make the information available to everyone where they can easily find it whenever needed, so it will be pinned to the top of the Women Underway forum.

The Women Underway forum is an optional forum.  Therefore, you have to register for the Women Underway forum and make sure the box is checked to get emails from that forum.  If you share a "boat name" email with your male spouse, it's best to use a unique email address that is not shared with a man - after all, this is a women's forum! In fact, you can use a different email for every forum.

Forum preferences are found under your Profile.  Log into the HHSA website, then beside your name is a down arrow.  Hover over that and select Profile. On the left side is a box called Forums. Click on Forum General Preferences and in the Email Addresses section, choose either the Primary Contact Email or This Address for an alternate address. Then, under Message Delivery, check the Send Email box.  Fill in any other items you want including and click SAVE!

Then go back to the main Profile menu, and under Forums, select Forum Memberships.  You can edit any forum preferences using the pencil off to the right of each Automatic Forum.  Under Optional Forums, make sure that you see General HHSA Topics-Women Underway in HHSA and in small italics it says, “Member Opt-in” and you see a red Quit circle as well as an Edit pencil.  This means that you ARE subscribed to the Women Underway forum.

On the main Profile page, under Forums, is a third item, Thread Subscriptions. You do not need to subscribe to any threads - those are for individual conversations.
