HHSA Regatta - Amendment 1
Author Last Post

Hi folks:

Attached is Amendment 1 for the HHSA Regatta on Sunday. The amendment adds a blue flag to the finish line. The blue flag allows the RC to shorten the course to the windward Mark if necessary. You will see a blue flag on the race committee boat for regular courses. If the course is shortened, a blue flag will be hoisted on the Mark boat near the windward Mark. In that case, the finish will be between the windward Mark and the blue flag. An announcement will be made on VHF 68 if the race is shortened.

Please note that there are only two possible courses for the Regatta. They are identified as Course 2 and Course 4, We plan to use Herring Bay G1 as the Windward Mark for boat courses. This may change to an inflatable cylinder if there is too much local traffic at G1. TBD.

Course 4 has a Leeward inflatable cylinder on the course side of the starting line. Diagrams are shown in the 2024 HHSA Course Book

We plan for three races. Hopefully the wind will hold through the day.

Firth of Tay is the Committee Boat. Eunice Lin's powerboat will be about moving the cylinders.

Thank you to our volunteers who make these events possible.

Cheers
