Racing Discussions

Hi folks:

On Monday, August 18, at 7:00pm, I set up a Zoom meeting to discuss Sailapalooza Lessons Learned so that we can document the event for discussing the event next year.

The agenda will include what worked, what we could do better, marketing, budget, engagement with HHSA members, etc. I'm only planning for 30 minutes.

I know this is pretty short notice. If possible, we will record it and you can post comments on this Forum thread. The registration link is below.

If needed, we can do another meeting. I wanted to get this started while it was relatively fresh in our minds.

NOTE: Afterwards, everyone is invited to stay on the line on the HHSA Competition Committee meeting on the same Zoom.

Hey Ted, I understand how to make a new photo album, but If I wanted to drop a few photos into the Sailapoloza album, is there an easy way to do that?

HHSA has created a photo album. So far only one boat has contributed. Anyone who took photos is welcome to add their photos to the album to share.

Kathy Jacobson has confirmed with HHN that we can use the Gedunk for the Meet and Greet and Pizza party. We need to be done there by 5pm as they are setting up for an evening marina event.

This thread is to help coordinate the Youth Sailapalooza on August 9. Post any questions here or other discussions.

About this event

With adult supervision, youths from 6 - 18 years old will have a day of racing to experience a day on Herring Bay. A cookout is planned to cap it off.

HHSA members will provide boats and crew on a volunteer basis. Each boat will have two experienced adults on board that will serve as advisor/mentors. Cruisers who wish to volunteer a boat should ensure that at least one adult onboard has racing experience.
