Women Underway in HHSA

2025 Women's Cruise
Author Last Post

Hi Ladies! I missed the zoom meeting, but am looking for a boat for the Women's cruise. I love to get out on the water, though I don't have a boat. I'm still a novice when it comes to sailing, but I'm a great grinder and excellent cabin organizer. I'm in Annapolis, but can meet wherever! I came on the cruise last year and it was tons of fun. I love the ladies I met! Please consider adding me to your boat, if you have the room!

non-smoker, loves food, drinks are a plus, mom, wife, full-time work, computer nerd, music devotee, lives for nature.

Hi Ladies!

Suzanne here. HHSA member, and more specifically, I joined HHSA because of the strong women's program. Women on sailboats is my passion.

I'm super excited I'm *finally* getting to participate in the Women's Cruise this year! So I'm **begging** you ladies for a spot on a boat!!

I can crew; I can follow instructions; I can set & trim sails; I can actually point the boat in a direction, and generally get it there!

But.... I am also an accomplished Snacktician (snackleboxes are my specialty), amateur bartender (dark & stormy anyone??) and an all-around easy-going individual, who can discuss embarrassing bodily functions for hours (or not...?).

So PLEASE!

Put. Me. On. Your. Boat!! 🤣🤣🤣

Happy Friday - I am the owner of Catie Mae and we will depart from St. Michaels. I have one additional crew that owns Doghouse, Liz Principe, and she will be coming from Eastern Shore as well.

If anyone is up for an Eastern Shore departure... I have room for two additional ladies!

The boat is a Beneteau 331 and if you are familiar with Happy Place, it is the same, apart from having a lifting keel, which allows us to crank up and come into shallow waters. The boat is made to be beached with double rudders as well, which make docking interesting. But anchoring is great.

We don't have fancy things like windlass or generators, but we have a fridge / cooler and music! On board, it is quite the cruising boat, with lots of comforts, pillows, cushions, hammocks, etc. Cooking on board is very easy as well.

Let me know if you are interested.

Hello women sailors! We are excited to be planning this year's Women's Cruise. If you haven't already registered please do so at: https://hhsa.org/content.aspx?page_id=4091&club_id=8237&item_id=2519355

As we discussed on the call tonight it looks like we have 4 boats coming so far:

CATIE MAE - Stefanie Brady (St Michaels)

SAIL TIME - Beth Muller (Annapolis)

HAPPY PLACE - Amanda Warren (Deale)

COOINDA - Jayne Durden (Deale)

This forum is to enable crew and skippers to match up so we can fill all the boats and find spots for all our great women sailors. Please post a bit about yourself and your contact details. Skippers, make sure you reach out and invite as many of these sailors as you can.

Once we get closer, Amanda and I will confirm the precise location and anchoring details so watch here and also watch your email.

See you on September 27th!
