Women Underway in HHSA

I love reading this Bev! I had know idea the program has been around for that along. Thank you for your contribution over the years and to all of the wonderful women who started and were involved in the program! As a newer sailor (convert from power boater) I find this program to be such a gift. I can't wait to see what's to come :)

Christine, I am thrilled and gratified to read your enthusiastic comments and appreciation for Women Underway! Women like you and Jayne Durden and so many others have kept it going for 14+ years and I hope for many more. I participated in Women Underway from it's awesome beginning in Feb. 2011, as reported in the HHSA Harbour Light newsletter:

"...nearly 30 women joined in a discussion of Women in Sailing led by a Committee of Andrea Heintzelman, Kristin Griner, Emily Manders, Sarah Harvey, Meghan Morgenstern, and Marsha Reich to discuss ways to increase the benefits to women of sailing. Both these seminars are the first with more to come."

I went on to become an organizer for several years before turning over the helm to Jayne who has done a more incredible job than I could have ever imagined. Thank you again for your support and enthusiasm!

I just wanted to give a big "Thank You" to Jayne and Amanda for organizing another fantastic women's cruise! I can only imagine the time, energy and planning it takes to run this program and offer these incredible events to us Ladies!

This was my second year attending and it was just as wonderful as I remembered it from last year. We had an incredible time on our boat and I loved getting to meet new ladies at the raft up! I feel so fortunate to be a part of this incredible community of women sailors and the village we are growing! Hope to see you all soon and looking forward to meeting those of you I have not met yet ⛵
