Frostbite 4 Weather Watching
Author Last Post

Thank you very much for keeping us posted. Good decision. Beda (Uncloudy Day)

Good call Bert. Thanks for keeping up with this.

Here in Lothian a few miles away from HHN, the wind eased but has doubled and is setting off all my deer cameras. The forecast is for continued building.

Cheers

Good morning, sadly Frostbite 4 will be canceled.

We have been watching and do not think it is possibly to safely race. The models have not abated much and the Gale Warning remains in effect for today. The forecast is calling for gale warnings with winds of 20-25 knots with gusts 40+ and 2-4 seas.

normally I'd even try and head out. But I don't think that is necessary or appropriate.

Hope to see you all next weekend!

regards,

Allegiant

Winds had been less than forecast this morning, but in the last 20 minutes Gooses Reef built to 15-20, 17-25 in Annapolis, and 10-15 at the dock.

I'm less likely to head out than I was half an hour ago.

Amara is not racing either. Stay safe everybody.

REVOLUTION will not be racing today due to expected conditions of gust above 35kt.

Cheers!

Doug

Ahoy Racers!,

Allegiant is your RC for Sunday #4. We are weather watching.

Our intent is to go to the marina and make a call in sufficient time for you to be early on the race course if we were to race. Our intent also is to not depart the dock or attempt a race if conditions are in excess of 20 knots sustained. We will post a decision on intent to race both in the Forum and on VHF before departing.
