Doug,
Last week when you were the Rabbit you complained bitterly about competitors being too aggressive at the start and crowding the Rabbit. Last night you were being very aggressive and tried to force boats to weather of you up and into the path of the Rabbit - what was that all about? As you stated, this is supposed to be fun!
As it turns out Jubilee did try to come up but Salute was immediately to weather of us and although Jeff did respond there was no opportunity for either of us to get out of the way. We were going slowly to allow the Rabbit to pass ahead, and we were not required to anticipate that you would come from below us at speed and suddenly start calling for room.
By the way, when Salute and Jubilee entered the 3 boat length circle we were overlapped, but you were not. You gained overlap well inside the circle, so the correct choice for you at that time was to fall in behind and start properly. You would have gotten a much better start had you done that.
