Can you please check

I think it is 11nm

I’m ok with 86 too.

I'll be looking for an Ocean Breeze... at the Pool Bar.

Best of luck to those competing... Unfortunately I couldn't do this one this year :(

Look at the bay currents, be prepared to drop your hook.

Not missing this one.

Camping in Delaware with spirits!

Cheers!

I’m ok with 86 for the finish.

The forecast I am looking at is even worse.

From A to 86 is 10 nm. I’m good with that.

A shame so little wind early. Later in the day the wind should be good.

To the three racers for tomorrow.

Just received a call from EYC. They see no wind in the forecast, don't know what they will do with the pursuit race and will not be at the finish. So their message is: TAKE YOUR OWN TIME at R2.

You may actually consider shortening the course, maybe race up to 86 (my suggestion) and call it a day. In that case we can start at A as initially envisaged. EYC is totally fine with that. I and they will need someone to compute the length of the course you decide on so it can be scored.

I suggest the three of you discuss and decide on this forum. I will not always be in front of my computer but I will read your decision and be your humble servant, whatever you prefer.

It's a charity race, and having a good time is important!

Let me know what you want to do.

Racers

Three boats registered for the race:

Firth of Tay

Happy Place

Stella Maris

All are in PHRF NS so there will be only one start.

Amara will take care of the start. I tried to get crew, almost did it and it just fell thru. So it will be Sarita and I.

Note the Sailing Instructions indicate that Channel 71 is to be used, so I intend to do that.

Rendez vous is at 9:30 in the vicinity of A at 09:30 HOWEVER I note that the forecast is for light air (5 kts and not getting any stronger) coming from the NNE and you have a long way to go. To boot there may be residual current from the rain so you are in for a long slog. To maximize the chances of everyone making it by the 1600 Time Limit I will hang around A with my engine on at 9:30. If the wind is as advertised and if you can all promptly check in at that time, let's immediately move to 83A (SI 8.2) and set up the start from there, so we can have the warning as close to 1000 as possible.

Let me know if anyone has an issue with any of the above.

Michel

More information about the event.

Notice to Competitors

THANKS!!

Amara will take care of the start. Sorry for the delay in responding.

I will send more about the plans on Friday afternoon.

Hi Folks

There is still time to register for the Herring Bay start for this year’s Leukemia Cup.

We have 3 boats starting . I am looking for a starting boat. I can be the race officer if someone wants to provide a boat. Otherwise, we will do a rabbit start.

Let me know if you are interested or want to participate.

Cheers
