Hello racers. Glissade
will be the RC this evening. As I am sure many of you know the weather gods are
not being very cooperative. Two elements which could cause me to cancel the race
may be present: no wind and/or thunderstorms. I will not start a race unless
we have sustained wind of 5 knots or more. And I don’t do thunderstorms. If
the wind is light I will delay the start for up to 30 minutes or so. If there are approaching thunderstorms I will not leave the slip until I know it is clear and will remain so. If we can get past these conditions I will most likely set a light wind short
course for everyone. Of
course none of this may happen. I never rely on forecasts. I always say you don’t know what the wind or currents are until you get out and see them. Good luck everyone.
