I am a new HHSA member last year and am new to HHN 2 years ago. I own a J24 (garaged) and an old Catalina 38 at slip F-37 (I'm a masochist). I have raced for 25 years, sailed since I was 4 and am about 50 years of age. I am looking to help out and become friends on a boat that has the right mix of even temperament and competitiveness. (Aren't we all?) Although I am eager to be available weekends, practicality and life commitments (I am out of town half of my weekends) prohibit this. In the last decade following the crushing blow of putting my J on mothballs and disbanding the greatest team ever, I have raced on the West River on a 32 foot Columbia sprit-boat, spent a couple seasons on J105 in Annap, and dabbled helping a friend on a J70. I can work my way into most positions - I just need to learn what your boat wants and needs. I would say I am least experienced with a dip-pole gybe, but have been made to lumber through them :) I consider myself athletic for my age and am 195#, should that be a factor. (Sometimes, I know this does, in fact, matter.)
