Women's Regatta History
Since 2009, HHSA has conducted races for women sailors. Our races have expanded over the years to provide women skippers and crew opportunities to compete against similar teams from around the Chesapeake Bay. HHSA celebrates this history and encourages women sailors to participate in our annual Women's Regatta.

2022
What we didn't get in wind we got in enthusiasm! 3 race starts but only 1 completed. Another incredible day on the water.
An incredible day with 10 boats competing including 5 visiting boats!
2020
With a heavy heart, HHSA regrettably cancelled the 2020 Women's Regatta due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2014
The 2014 Women's Regatta was held on Sunday, June 1st. It included racers or cruisers
with a wide range of experience. Check out the photo album of the event.
2013
The 2013 Regatta featured light and variable conditions but three races were sailed. At the end of the day Emily Manders on Jubilee and Nancy Oliver on Spirit won the day in Spinnaker and Non-spinnaker classes respectively.
2012
The 2012 Regatta was a three race affair - Emily Manders skippered Jubilee to a 1st Place finish in the Spinnaker Class and Nancy Oliver guided Spirit to a 1st in Non-Spinnaker. HHSA was very proud to have hosted Spinnster, a very competitive boat from SMSA (Solomon's Island).
2011
The 2011 Race was combined with the annual Adopt-a-Cruiser race. Six all-female boats had their own class and out-numbered the Cruiser/Racers.
2010
2010 was the revival of the HHSA Women's Race which was last held in the mid 1990's. Three courageous women competed and had such a good time that commitments were made to make this an annual event.
